Personal and Pilates Training

Marian's personal training and contemporary Pilates training are excellent for getting stronger and preventing injury or pain, whether you're recovering from an injury (or surgery) or looking to prevent either. 

She believes that every body is different and has its own strengths, weaknesses, and limitations, and she focuses on each. Her clients have improved their bone density to help halt–or even reverse–osteoporosis/osteopenia, gain muscular strength, increase balance to avoid falls, and improve posture and flexibility to look and feel younger. 

Marian specializes in senior fitness, pre- and post-rehab training, clients with osteoporosis/penia, EDS and hypermobility, and has a passion for helping people with other limitations. 

She'll help you identify any movement inefficiencies, discuss your objectives, figure out how to get there, and show you how to move in ways that are safe for your body so you don't injure yourself while still making progress toward those goals.

Private, Duet, Trio & Quad

Private Training: Marian’s 1-on-1 private personal and Pilates training provides the utmost attention to a client’s individual needs. Marian has one Pilates Reformer, Chair, Arc Barrel, and Tower so private training can take advantage of all of these apparatuses, in addition to dumbbells, stability and BOSU balls and bands. Clients who have unique challenges, limitations or who work best with no distractions, benefit most from private sessions. 

Duet Training: By training two clients at once, the special attention often needed to ensure proper form and alignment during workouts or movement re-education is possible with the added benefit of camaraderie.  Marian can do personal training in a circuit format with two clients who are of similar fitness levels, taking advantage of her Pilates equipment and personal training tools. 

Trio/Quad Training: Marian can accommodate up to four clients at one time in a small group training setting using bodyweight, dumbbells, bands and balls, while still focusing on individual needs and modifications. This small class setting is best for people who are all on a similar fitness level and who do not have serious limitations.

Youth Training

Marian trains kids and youth, both couch potato video gamers and school athletes. Her focus on youth is to address postural misalignments, weakness and tightness due to repetitive movement or inactivity, and instability that often accompanies the growing adolescent. Her goal is to teach inactive youth the danger of lack of movement, and educate athletes how to address muscular imbalances to avoid injury while playing their sport. 

She can train youth privately, in duets or trios in her studio or make visits on-site to schools or sporting facilities for larger groups.

Corporate Wellness

Proper posture while sitting or standing at a desk can affect employee productivity since poor body mechanics while working on a computer can cause pain over time. Marian’s postural assessment, conducted while clients are sitting and standing, is the basis for her easy-to-follow corrective exercises, unique to each employee, that can be done while at his/her desk. Marian also offers group classes on-site to reinforce assessment findings
